Tool Casualty!
Aaarrgh Poop! This happened today.
That bit in my hand shouldn't be in my hand!
This is my 3 tonne Arbor ratchet press that I'd slightly adapted in the early days of Chester Belter Leather so I could deboss all kinds of logo's into various thicknesses of leather for my own and clients work.
It was never the perfect answer, but looking back served me very well.
I was working on a piece for a client today and debossed the last impression I needed.... and then it went snap bang, so actually, perfect timing!
God knows how many times over the years I've hung off the extended steel bar to get max deboss pressure, so I guess it was bound to happen sometime.
Time now to go Hydraulic me thinks.......
