W650 custom rear end
Progress on the W650 mod's have been slower than a slow thing lately.
But today I finally got on with the dumpy rear, removing the stock heavy chrome fender, big tail light and blinkers.
New alloy fender installed, and lights fitted (just loose to drill the holes in the fender for all the wiring). Very cool of Kawasaki to have already provided drilled tabs hanging off the seat rails :) so relocating the blinkers is easy.
I also made an alloy number plate bracket for the alloy fender (forgot to photo it!) so it's all ready now for a final tighten up and then sort out the wiring and get it back on the road.
Will possibly fit some slightly longer rear shocks and then get on with the front end and tank.

I'd like to fit new fenders to my W650 too; what length is the rear one?
ReplyDeleteHi Anon. It's 10" from fitting point to tail. If you google w650shop.de they sell them, bit expensive but it comes with brackets so an easy bolt on job. All the best
