Workshop time

Honestly, it's not all about motorbikes round here looking at my recent post's!

Here's a new carry product I've been thinking about for a good few weeks, most of those weeks have been about how to give it a different spin without ANY compromise on its function....  actually that applies to everything I make.
So first off I start with numerous pencil drawings of the product I've been thinking about.
Then I make a number of 3D templates in thick card which helps to give me a visual on it from all angles.
Then it's time to start cutting up some leather using offcuts based on the best guess card template.
Then it's hand stitched. It's usually then back to the template stage as it'll be out by a couple mm to an inch in one or a few plans. Too big, small, short, narrow, wide, shallow etc etc etc! Leather never reacts/bends etc like card (thankgod) and leather is obviously thicker.
Then once I've nailed it, it's a case of using/wearing it for any last tweaks required.

Here's a couple of mid stage workshop images... going well :)
