Point of Purchase - Part 3 - Deus Denim

So this is undyed natural vegetable tanned leather, as opposed to chrome tanned leather.

As a designer/maker I'm a big fan of both, each has it's perfect use in final product.

Keeping the Deus Denim off the heavily oiled display work bench was sorted by using the natural veg tan.

Keeping the red oil dye ONLY on the vertical edge was where the time went on this one, if you've done this you'll know .... metres and metres of it.

If you've got a belt or wallet in natural veg tanned leather... you can't really go wrong with giving it an occasional oiling, make it an even coverage (don't put the oil directly on the leather).

Exposing to natural sun light will darken it over time. Oiling will give the leather some nourishment and water protection and immediately darken it. Depending on the oil content it will return to the pre-oiled tone within a day so don't worry about the initial dark tones.

Thanks Deus.
